Research
conducted at the World Bank Institute in Governance
and Anti-corruption, often in collaboration with Bank
Operations and/or outside academic institutions, contributes
to the growing literature on the subject and is a
key input to the learning products and action program
formulation. The emphasis is on the concrete operationalization
of new research findings, based on novel empirical
approaches and a major effort to develop a worldwide
database on governance indicators. The materials are
